Hard to believe that the school year is almost over. With just four more school days left, the eighth graders are realizing that their time at Immaculate is almost over. It is always fun to watch as they come to terms that their life is drastically going to change. Every year, the last few weeks are peaceful as the students seem to get along better than ever before. It is a peaceful way to end the year.
Yesterday, the eighth graders presented their immigration posters. They all did a great job and said they really enjoyed learning about their family history. Currently, they are studying for their upcoming finals and, in history, they are writing children's books covering the different units we have studied this year. It is a fun project and I love seeing how creative they are.
The seventh graders are winding up Washington State History. Today they will be showing their commercials they created for our state. From what I have seen so far, they did a wonderful job on this assignment. They have two more chapters in history and will be taking their final test on Tuesday, June 5th. They will have their final vocabulary test on Friday, June 8th.
I hope all of you have a wonderful summer. Thank you for the gift of your children. I wish all the eighth graders the best as they enter high school and I look forward to having a new class of students next year. Enjoy, be safe, and see you in September.
