We are nearing the end of the year and there are many events on the calendar. In addition to these events, the eighth graders have additional activities that will be addressed in a separate email.
The eighth graders are battling "senioritis" and it is taking all our energy to reign them in. Understandably, they are excited but I would hate for them to negatively impact their grades when they are so close. They are currently working on their Love Books and their Immigration poster. We have three more chapters in religion and two more chapters in social studies. We are moving quickly, but I am allowing plenty of time for them to study for their final. Please encourage them to stay focused during the last stretch.
The seventh graders are also moving at a quick pace. We are progressing nicely through Washington State history. They have their commercial due next week and they are all reading their last novel. The students are doing a nice job staying engaged, and they are all showing improvement in their study habits.
