Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and family time.
Your child came back to school and we hurriedly returned to the rigors of learning. Both 7th and 8th graders are working on their summative essays for the novels we finished prior to break. Immediately after they finish their essays, they will be receiving new novels.
In social studies, we are chugging along. The seventh graders have two more chapters before they begin Washington State History. The eighth graders are studying the 1830's and the Indian Removal Act. They will continue until the 1900's, so we still have quite a bit of ground to cover.
MAP testing begins on Monday. Please encourage your child to go to bed early and eat a nutritious breakfast on testing days. Thank you for your help.
